here am i

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" (Isaiah 6:8)

that’s isaac’s commission. and mine as well. the lyrics of a song entitled "here am i" struck me when we were working on our mp 2 or 3 weeks ago. especially the part that goes "what a shame!"

shame… reminds me of two brothers in Christ who are really disappointing. it reminds me of the verse that goes…

"Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)

i don’t know how we could be such hypocrites at times when we do things just because we want to instead of seeking to honor Him through our actions.

anywayz, back to my commission. i was meditating on isaiah 5-6 last night and it affirmed my calling. same thing with what kuya julius was playing on the keyboards earlier.

it really amazes me how God uses even the broken. He’s pruning me right now and it’s painful but worthwhile. =)
